Warranty Information

All parts sold come with our standard 6 month warranty. We also have available 1 year, 2 year, and Lifetime Warranties. You will have the option to select an extended warranty option at the time of your purchase.

We have a 90 day No Hassle return policy. This means you can return the part for any reason within 90 days of the date of purchase. Return must be fully assembled and in the same condition as when it was sold.

Warranty periods begin at date of purchase. If one of our parts fails, contact us and we will arrange for a refund, repair or replacement of the defective part.

We will warranty engine and transmission internal parts, including pistons, rings, push rods, rocker arms, lifters and rocker arm shafts, crankshaft and bearings, rods, camshafts and bearings, timing belt, chain and gears, valves and guides, oil pump, engine block, and cylinder heads. Excluded from this warranty are mounts, fuel systems and electrical components, water pump, flex plate, fly wheel, pullies, gaskets and seals, unless otherwise noted in invoice. Motors and cylinder heads will have warranty voided if they have been overheated. Heat tabs are placed on every engine and tampering or removing them will void warranty.

This warranty covers parts, unless otherwise stated on the invoice. We do not assume any responsibility for towing charges, loss of time, loss of use of vehicle, inconvenience, lodging, oil, oil filters, anti-freeze, telephone or telegraph charges, car or truck rental. Repairs or replacement do not extend this warranty beyond the described period from the date original purchase. All returned parts are subject to a 15% restock fee. All cores must be returned within 30 days from the invoice date. Special ordered parts such as special cuts will not be refunded. An original receipt must be presented for any exchange, warranty claim or refund. We mark all parts sold with a unique identifier. No parts will be accepted or exchanged without our mark.

There are no other warranties, either expressed or implied, which extend beyond the description contained on the face hereof, and all implied warranties, including the implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed and excluded absolutely except as provided herein. The warranty is not transferable. The company offers extended product warranties, and labor warranties. Unless shown on the invoice, the customer has declined to purchase either.

Tires: Due to the many different conditions to which used tires may have previously been exposed, we make absolutely NO WARRANTY, expressed or implied as to the condition or fitness of used tires. ALL USED TIRES ARE SOLD “AS IS”. Used tires are not tested or labeled to meet any safety standards. The purchaser of used tires agrees to accept all risk relating to the use of such used tires.

Labor Warranty must be purchased at the time of the original transaction. Only the Extended product warranty may be purchased up to 10 days after the original invoice date.
We shall deem this warranty void if the part or parts have been dismantled, modified or otherwise tampered with, in our discretion. Faulty installation or misuse of the product will void this warranty. This transaction is wholly performable in Wise County, Texas and shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. The venue for cause of action arising from this transaction shall be Wise County, Texas

Remanufactured Engines

Remanufactured Engines come with a 36 month / 100,000 mile warranty, whichever occurs first.

Coverage begins on invoice date.


Manufacturing or component defects of parts supplied by Advanced Powertrain Solutions, Inc.

Mechanical failures of the long block assembly only (block, internal rotating components, and cylinder heads).

Reasonable and customary diagnostic charges in conjunction with covered repairs.

Labor time for replacement of covered units based on nationally published labor guides. Reynolds and SPG are not accepted labor time guides. Matrix or grid pricing is not accepted, all labor times are paid on Maximum of $50.00 per hour. Maximum labor rate is paid at $50.00 per hour.

Associated gaskets, seals, and/or sealants required on a covered repair.

REMANUFACTURED TRANSMISSIONS come with 3 Year / 100k Mile Warranty, unless otherwise stated.

Tearaparts warrants within the 48 contiguous states of the Continental United States and to only the original customer shown on the work order reference hereon, against failure by defects in workmanship and materials for 36 months or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first; however, warranty work and/or goodwill repairs do not create a new warranty or extend the original warranty period. If, within the time and mileage specified and the terms of this warranty, repairs on covered parts or labor purchased is necessary, it will be provided within the limits of this warranty and only within the 48 contiguous states of the Continental United States, at no charge to the customer at any certified repair facility. TEARAPARTS RESERVES THE UNQUALIFIED RIGHT TO REFUND THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID IN LIEU OF ALL CLAIMS MADE UNDER THIS WARRANTY. This warranty is not transferrable.

Obtaining service: IT IS ALWAYS THE EXPRESS RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER TO CONTACT AND RETURN THE VEHICLE/TRANSMISSION, AT CUSTOMER’S EXPENSE TO THE ORIGINATING REPAIR FACILITY SHOULD A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION OCCUR. However, if distance prevents return, Tearaparts may, at its discretion, direct the customer to a 3rd party location, selected by Tearaparts, for diagnosis. After diagnosis, if a problem is found to exist with the work warranted by Tearaparts under the terms of this warranty, you MUST again call Tearaparts to receive Tearaparts approval/authorization for repair and to receive an RMA (return merchandise authorization) #. THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IF ANY UNAUTHORIZED PERSON/ENTITY TAMPERS WITH THE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY OR WORK BEGINS PRIOR TO AUTHORIZATION BY TEARAPARTS. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER AND IS VOIDED BY (1) broken and/or damaged parts including, but not limited to, cases shafts, planetaries, differentials, one-way rollers, broken gears, etc; (2) damage due to improper installation of the transmission or if factory approved fluid has no been used in the assembly; (3) loss of time and/or earnings, loss of use, rental vehicle, inconvenience, commercial loss, towing/shipping charges, per diem expenses, personal injuries and/or any other incidental or consequential damages; (4) unless the appropriate Road Ripper Series transmission, as designated by Tearaparts, was purchased, this warranty is void and does not cover transmissions in vehicles with engines modified to produce more output (horsepower or torque) beyond the original design limits of the transmission, including, but not limited to, items such as superchargers, turbo chargers, nitrous oxide, aftermarket fuel injection systems, internal engine modifications or replacement engines that are larger than what came with the vehicle; transmissions in vehicles with drive train modifications that cause a load on the transmission that exceeds the original design limits, including, but not limited to, items such as substantially larger tires, change in the differential gear ratio (one not available as an option with the vehicle); transmissions in vehicles that exceed the designed gross weight suggested by the manufacturer (i.e. heavy tool chest, boom, etc.) or towing an item that is heavier than the towing limits placed by the vehicle manufacturer.

The work performed can sometimes fail due to no fault of Tearaparts. Parts related to, but not part of, the transmission which are not covered by this warranty may also be found to be defective after repairs are completed due to inability to test prior to making repairs. This warranty is void and invalid if related parts are found to be defective and are not repaired in a timely manner; or if related parts fail after the transmission work is completed, thus adversely affecting the transmission, torque converter, clutch or seals. Tearaparts cannot predict these events and is not responsible if damage is cause to the transmission, torque converter, clutch or seals under these circumstances. Related parts include, but are not limited to: levers, controls, linkage, flywheel, radiator, coolers, rubber mounts, external oil lines, electrical/electronic accessories, etc. Tearaparts is only responsible fo the parts and labor purchased by the customer as reflected by the work order referenced above. Tearaparts obligation under this warranty is limited to, at Tearaparts discretion, replacing or repairing defective parts, correcting defectively furnished labor, or refunding purchase price.

All warranties, implied or otherwise, are limited to the terms of this written warranty. Consequential and incidental damages are not covered by this warranty. Some states do not allow limitation on the length of an implied warranty, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages; therefore, the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which can vary from state to state

ECM RETURN POLICY – No ECM’s will be accepted for return unless customer provides and invoice that re-programming was done. Elite Electronics is the recommended vendor to get this done for you. They can be reached at 214-325-4212, or info@elite-dfw.com. Again, no credit will be issued for a return on an ECM without proof that the ECM was re-programmed first.

USED TRANSMISSION RETURN POLICY – ALL transmissions will need to have the filter replaced and fresh oil or all warranties are void. In the event of a failure, customer will need to produce proof that a new filter and new fluid were purchased for this transmission at time of install. No warranty will be given if documentation cannot be provided. This applies to serviceable transmissions only. Sealed units should not need service.
